Besides getting enough exercise, I’m struggling a bit with burn out at my job.
It’s strange, because I really do enjoy my 9 to 5 gig, I’m good at it, and find it fulfilling. But in the same breath, I know that I’m burn out emotionally (which is starting to affect me physically) from the work. I want to have more time to create and write, but with the cost of living, I can’t just take time off to recharge.

It’s even harder to deal with burnout when it’s from something you enjoy and don’t want to stop, or can’t stop, doing, isn’t it? Recognising it’s starting to affect you in that way is great though, because you can take steps to halt it in its tracks. Short of cloning yourself (we have a course for that!), what can you do?

We have some articles to help you find a way through burnout :

This offers some great ways to change up your activities. The great thing about writing and creating is that most of the ground work can be done away from your desk and computer. So, take a walk to disengage after your day job when you actively try to stay in the moment and really notice your surroundings. You may find that relaxing your brain in this way gives inspiration a chance to be heard. Remember that the writing will always be there for you when you’re ready to get to it and every moment away from it is recharging your creative well, giving you more to draw on when you sit down to write.

Let us know what works for you 🙂

    Thank you so much!
I’ll be sure to read both of them (after work, of course, lol).
