Effective date: August 7, 2026
Welcome to Indie Author Training. This website, community, and our courses and events are operated by Athenia Creative Services, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), 6820 Apus Dr, Sparks, NV 89436, USA. By creating an account, registering for an event, or purchasing anything from indieauthortraining.com, you agree to these terms.
1. Who can use the site
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account or make a purchase. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials private and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been compromised.
2. Courses, memberships, and events
When you buy a course or membership, we grant you a personal, non-transferable license to access that content for your own education. You may not share your login, redistribute course materials, resell access, or use our content to build competing products. Access is tied to your account and, for lifetime-access products, lasts as long as we operate the product — we’ll give reasonable notice and a fair remedy if a product is ever retired.
Event registrations (summits, webinars, workshops) admit you personally. Replays, where offered, are provided under the same personal license as courses.
3. Payments and refunds
Prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. Where a purchase includes a refund window or guarantee, it’s stated on the product page or at checkout, and that stated policy controls. Otherwise, contact us about any billing problem and we’ll work it out in good faith — billing mistakes on our side are always corrected.
By purchasing, you agree to receive transactional email about your order and promotional email you can unsubscribe from at any time.
4. Community conduct
Our community works because members are generous and professional with each other. By participating you agree to:
- Treat other members with respect — no harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks.
- No spam, unsolicited promotion, or pitching other members without invitation.
- Share only content you have the right to share, and keep other members’ private discussions private.
- Follow moderators’ guidance in each space.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules. For serious or repeated violations we may terminate access without refund of any unused membership period.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post in the community. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive license to host and display that content within the community so the site can function. If you leave, your account content can be deleted on request, though quoted replies from other members may remain.
6. Our content
Everything we publish — courses, videos, worksheets, articles, branding — belongs to Athenia Creative Services, LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright. You may not copy, republish, or distribute it beyond the personal license described above without written permission.
7. Education, not professional advice
Our courses and events teach publishing craft and business practices based on experience and research. They are education, not legal, financial, or tax advice, and publishing income varies enormously — we make no earnings guarantees. Decisions about your author business are yours; for legal or financial questions, consult a licensed professional.
8. Affiliate links and sponsors
Some links on our site are affiliate links, and some content is sponsored. We may earn a commission when you click a link and make a purchase. This never changes the price you pay, and sponsorship never buys a favorable review — our editorial judgment isn’t for sale.
9. Third-party services
Courses and events may rely on third-party platforms (payment, video, event registration). Those services have their own terms, and we’re not responsible for their availability or actions, though we choose partners carefully.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site and its content are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the site or our products is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms. Sections about intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Nevada, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll update the effective date at the top and, for material changes, notify members by email or a site notice. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
